Naturally some of my gift-giving involved books and/ or movies; I gave one of my sisters Elizabeth Gaskell's 1853 book Cranford, which is a series of short stories which center around the fictional town of Cranford and its residents. Along with the book, I gave the BBC series Cranford, which weaves together three of Gaskell's works: Cranford (of course), My Lady Ludlow, and Mr. Harrison's Confessions. I'm hoping she invites me over while she's watching it.
My mom is really into researching our family tree, so one of the gifts I gave her was a book on using FamilySearch.org more effectively.
My dad is a big John Wayne fan and he and my mom enjoy doing puzzles together, so I got him this:
One of my sisters is both a really good pianist and a fan of John Williams' soundtracks, so:
Of course, I also made some gifts... I finished knitting these slipper/socks on Christmas Eve, just in time to give them.
I still have a gift I'm working on, but I don't need it until our big family get-together on New Years day, so I've got a bit of time yet. Good thing, too.
