He was marching up & down the other day, singing part of the 'Work Song' from the prologue of Les Miserables: "Look down, look down/ You'll always be a slave/ Look down, look down/ You're standing in your grave!" in a deep, sinister voice. He was slightly confused as to its origin though, asking, "Is that from Ben Hur?" He must have been equating it with the galley slave scene in Ben Hur, I guess.
The Imp hasn't started school yet as he won't turn five until September, but he's already got a handle on printing his letters & numbers, and is doing simple adding and subtracting. This is because he's been watching his older brothers be home schooled practically since he was born and has picked up a lot along the way. Last week he asked my sister to give him a math sheet while the other boys were doing their math lessons. Without any help, this is what he produced:
