I went to a triple baby shower at my church on Monday night, one of the honorees being my sister, who is due in August. I made these drool bibs and also sewed some fabric gift baskets to put the bibs and other baby supplies in: One of my nephews had a birthday this week, so I made this zippered case with a front pocket for him and slipped in a copy of the first Zorro book which I had picked up a while ago: I recently watched Highlander for the first time; I know people who love it, and some who loathe it, so was interested in checking it out for myself. It was... okay? I'll probably do a more in depth post about it later, but my first impression of it was that it's very 1980's, and kind of meh. I shall give it more thought, however. I spent a good deal of the film wondering why Christopher Lambert- who plays the titular Highlander- looked vaguely familiar. Then I realized it was because of his very low forehead: he reminds me of the kid in Shane (played by Brandon de Wilde) who also had extremely low set eyes: What does this have to do with the movie? Nothing of course, except maybe that it shows my mind was wandering during it. In any case, I'll write an actual review of Highlander when I get a chance... I've had a couple of really busy weeks, work-wise and socially, and haven't had much time to concentrate on anything else.

About MeI'm a lover of good books, classic movies, and well-written shows (as well as some pretty cheesy ones, to be completely honest). Categories
