Well, here we are a week into spring, enjoying a good old nor'easter. I confess that after a long, snowy winter in these parts, I was ready for some warmer weather. And yet, when I got the call this morning informing me that my place of employment was closed due to the storm, my feelings were not unlike those of a student enjoying an unexpected day off school. As I sit with a mug of coffee, listening to the howling wind and watching the snow drift against my patio door grow higher, I feel quite cozy and happy. I have nowhere to go, and nothing vital to do...except maybe pick up that copy of 'The Inimitable Jeeves' I can see out of the corner of my eye. Yes, there are worse ways to spend the day... although if this weather does last into April and beyond, it will definitely have worn out its welcome.
