Back on the topic of book lending, the other day one of my sisters messaged me. She's gearing up for another year of homeschooling her four boys and is organizing their books and other materials for first term. Last year her eldest, who's now fourteen, read the first two volumes of Winston Churchill's four volume A History of the English Speaking Peoples. But my sister only owns the first two volumes, having picked them up at a used book store. She wondered audibly where she could get her hands on the last two volumes without buying an entire set, and my nephew told her not to worry: he knew I had all of them. So she messaged me to ask to borrow the third volume: The Age of Revolution, which covers the history of Britain (and its offshoots) from 1688 to 1815.
Come to think of it, I did a review of The Birth of Britain a long time ago, but never got around to reviewing the other three... so many books, so little time. I must get back to that one of these days.
