One of my sisters has, for the past few years, put an interesting twist in using her Advent calendar: each day's pocket contains a slip of paper with a Christmas-related family task or activity written on it which they must accomplish. One day this week, the activity was making gingerbread houses so the family split into two teams- girls and boys- and made two houses. My brother-in-law posted a picture of the results... guess which team made which house.
My brother-in-law explained that the boys' downfall was the result of attempting to be too technical. They tried to put siding (made of Cheetos) on the walls and ended up collapsing them. The girls went for prettiness instead of accuracy and fared much better. My advice:
