-Revelation 21:4, KJV
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. -Revelation 21:4, KJV

Well, it snowed overnight... sigh. My neighbour texted me and asked me to make a few more masks: another one for her grandson and a few for her mum and sister. I didn't really want to make more masks but I suffer from an inability to say no, especially since my neighbour's a health care worker. I refused payment for the first ones I made for her but she insisted on paying me for this set, so I went over to their place early this morning and left the bag of masks hanging on their doorknob. Later on I got a text saying the money was hanging on my doorknob. This is where we are now... sneaking around leaving things at each other's doors. Oh, well. Speaking of not being able to say no, here's the song "I Cain't Say No" from the 1955 film version of the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical Oklahoma! It's sung by Ado Annie (Gloria Grahame) who is explaining her susceptibility to men to Laurey Williams (Shirley Jones). As I've said before, I'm not a big fan of most Rodgers & Hammerstein musicals- The Sound of Music excepted- though they have a lot of great songs... this isn't one of their better ones, though it does give viewers a good idea of Annie's incipient floozy tendencies.

About MeI'm a lover of good books, classic movies, and well-written shows (as well as some pretty cheesy ones, to be completely honest). Categories
