One of my brothers-in-law just got back from Israel; he was in Tel Aviv for work, but did get to tour around a bit... jealous!
Above is his picture of the Western Wall, and another of the city from the Mount of Olives. Below are a couple photos of excavations of the old city, which is beneath the existing one.

And here's a sobering reminder of reality over there- a picture my brother-in-law took of the countryside as his group changed tour buses on the way to Bethlehem. The switch was necessary because they were entering Palestinian territory and their tour guide was Israeli, and therefore not allowed in.
